Paint Correction prep is started with a Foam bath presoak, then a Hand Wash with any needed Bug/ tar removal. Next we will perform an Iron Decontamination process followed by a Clay treatment to remove embedded surface contamination. Finally the vehicle will be foam washed again by hand and dried before moving on to the paint correction process. Depending upon the extent of the correction needed the process may add additional passes of the following steps; (Initial taping of all edges where wax can be trapped or trim that could be burned. A Rupes Bigfoot LRH21 and LRH15 Dual Action Orbital buffer will be used to perform an aggressive compounding stage to remove any surface scratches equivalent to a scratch usually removed by 1500 to 3000 grit sand paper. Following Compounding we will perform the needed number of passes with a correction compound to remove any swirling that may exist in the paint. Following these steps, multiple stages of Polishing will be performed to remove any remaining light scratches as well as any possible marring or holograms from compounding. We strongly suggest to follow this process with one of our Ceramic Pro Coating Packages to help keep your vehicles paint protected from future damage.
